In February of 2007 I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Luigi Cattelan & Nicole Anderson, Luigi was one of the original glass workers at the famed Murano Glass bead factory on Murano Island in Italy.

Nicole gave a beautiful and emotional history presentation and rare Murano glass beads were available for inspiration the the few lucky jewlers invited to the event.

This Murano treasure was named in honor of the historic place and people.
 

It took me a little over a year to assemble all the complementing beads and design this precious rare gem.

The single Murano bead designed by Luigi Cattelan was the one I took home from this rare meeting and it now graces the center of this rare treasure.
